DAY 1:  Cusco

Arrival to Cusco at any time; we will meet you at the airport and transfer you the designated hotel.

DAY 2: Sacred Valley of the Incas

Full-day tour; we will visit the traditional Market of Pisac and the Inca ruins at Pisac and Ollantaytambo.

DAYS 3, 4, 5, 6: Inca Trail to Machu Picchu

4-day Inca Trail to Machu Picchu; all included. It’s 45 km of distance along the trail you will have the opportunity to explore the Inca ruins whit our guide.

NOTE: The passengers who are not able or nor interested in the hike for spending 2 days in Cusco, and then travel by train to “Aguas Calientes”, next morning you’ll take the bus to Machu Picchu entrance and meet with the hikers at the ruins. If you decide to do not make the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, we’ll need to know previous to your departure in order to obtain train tickets.

DAY 1: Arrival to Cusco

Explore Inca Trail begins once you arrive in Cusco at any time. However, we must know your flight details for the reception and transfer to your hotel. On this day, there is no planned activity, so you can enjoy the city (optional city tour in the afternoon) it starts at 01:30 p.m and ends at 06:30 p.m; tourists have the opportunity to visit 6 places: the Cathedral, the Qorikancha, Sacsayhuaman, Tambomachay, Qenqo and Pucapucara.

DAY 2: Sacred Valley of the Incas

The Sacred Valley Tour begins at 08:30 a.m. After breakfast, we’ll head toward the green fertile valley where tourist have the option to visit traditional markets. The Sacred Valley is a lush of agricultural region that continues to supply the city of Cusco with much of its production especially corn. Visit the extraordinary Pisac Inca ruins and the colourful artisan market where you can purchase some handicrafts directly from the producers.

The day trip finishes in the picturesque village of Ollantaytambo, we will visit also the Ollantaytambo Inca ruins that are known as the best surviving example of Inca urban planning and engineering. It is admired for its huge steep terraces guarding the Inca Fortress and for being one of the few places where the Spaniards lost a major battle during the conquest. Overnight at this small town.

DAYS 3, 4, 5, 6: Inca Trail to Machu Picchu

After an early breakfast, we’ll continue the trip travel by private bus to Pisqak’ucho (km. 82) the starting point of the Inca Trail. The local porters and the guides organize everything for you. We’ll carry your heavy gear. All you have to do is carry your daypack and enjoy the spectacular mountain scenery and the fascinating Inca sites. The first two days, we will trek for approximately 8 hours (including breaks).

On the third day, we will have a 5-hour trek. The last day, we will start trekking (for 2 hours) early escorted by an experienced guide to arrive for the sunrise at Machu Picchu, then you will have two-hour tour after what you will have free time to explore alone. Later in the afternoon, we will take the train through Urubamba Valley and return to Cusco, arriving there in the evening and you will be transferred to your hotel.

The Inca trail to Machu Picchu was discovered at 1915 by Mr. Hiram Bingham. It is 45 km of very well-preserved trail that runs through the eastern mountain range of Peru named Vilcanota Mountain range. In the Time of the Incas, it was the high way that connects with Cusco. Thousands of pilgrims walked in the past this trail in order to arrive to Machu Picchu and talk with the spirit of the nature who were considered gods.
